Hey everybody.
Insane how time's flying! Being back in the Fxxking cold holland, makes the half year in south africa look like short holiday i just got back from. Looking back at all the stories i wrote, proves me wrong though.
The abs project is finished, approved and send home so the last 3 weeks I could just spend going around the country. the end of january my sister inge flew down here to have a nice little vacantion here as well. We travelled from Jo'burg to capetown, with the so-called bazbus. We hopped on and off at places where we liked to be picked up a day or 2 later to go on further south. the Bazbus is a pretty cool way of traveling, allthough i dont like being hooked to a certain travel schedule. cause that's what you are. If you have a couple of months to go around its perfect but when your on a tight schedule (like we were), you're spending a lot of time just sitting in the bus. But hey, no complaining here, just enjoying the ride and the beautiful nature.
To make a really long story just a bit long, i'll tell the most interesting parts. here goes. Monday the 7th of februari, we got up at 6 o'clock and ate breakfast at 7 o c'clock.............hahahahahha just kidding.
the real cool part of the trip was the bungy jump, off of the blaukrans bridge over the stormriver. insane how high it is, especially when your standing there, with your toes over the edge, which is 216 metre above the ground. the 7 seconds lasting freefall is fucking amazing............ I had never experienced a sensation like that, ever before in my life.
driving on to small place called Hermanus was lekker as well. here we took the "white shark" dive trip. Allthough we didnt get to see the sharks when we were in the water, i still got a few good shots of "jaws" when he (or she, i dont know) came above the sealevel to reveal its face. cool to see a real "jaws" on touching distance.
Then we went towards cape town. here we enjoyed the beach a lot. Tanning our ass off just to get the right comments when you arrive at the amsterdam airport : "oh my god, you are SO tanned", hehehe. dont tell me your not vain like that, dont lie!!!

climbing the table mountain (with the cabel car, hehe) was cool as well, real perfect view of capetown's city centre. then climbing the lions head (with my feet) was really cool as well. watching the sun sink into the ocean, hhhmmmmm!!!
that's about it, i guess. this story, AND unfortunately my 6 months in the beautiful South Africa. I'm definitely going back there, in the (near) future. checking out how Holland wins the cup in 2010!!!!! whhooohoooowwww!!!
Rande, sinisa, greg, adam, Kenan, and the rest, sorry if i didnt mention your name, but you know this goes to you as well!
I'm really sorry I/we didnt get to say goodbye properly. like a nice little beer drinking braai at the wits rooftop or whatever. I really was having problems with the report, finishing it the way i wanted to. The second i finished it i had to run home to catch the bus.
I hope you will ever come to europe, and when you do you must give me a sign so we can hook up!! send a mail to lrzboyens@yahoo.com.
Cheers buddies, I had a really great time!!
for now, one again:
Enjoy the pics!!!!
